Horton Animal Hospital Northeast

Horton Animal Hospital Northeast is a full service veterinary hospital. We provide care for dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, and other small pets. Our veterinarians offer quality preventative, diagnostic, surgical and dental care for your pet.
Services provided include complete physical exams, vaccinations and dewormings, surgical procedures, dentistry, radiology, AVID microchip identification, hospitalization, boarding facilities, bathing and nail trims, housecalls, and pickup and delivery of pets.

Monday - Thursday 7:30 am to 7:00 pm
Friday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm
Saturday 7:30 am to noon

About Our Doctors

Dr MarshallDr. Michelle Marshall originally came to Columbia in 1988 after receiving a Bachelor’s degree from Northeast Missouri State University at Kirksville. After graduating from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, she practiced for two years in St. Louis, returning to Columbia in 1994 to join the Horton Animal Hospital-Northeast staff. Dr. Marshall and her husband, Ronald, have two children, Rachel and Eli, and three cats and a dog.
Dr. Marshall especially enjoys working with pocket pets and performing surgery. Her hobbies include reading, biking and needlepoint. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Missouri VMA, and Women’s Network.

Dr McCullohDr. Liz McCulloh is originally from Morristown, New Jersey and received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1999. She then attended the MU College of Veterinary Medicine, completing her DVM in 2003.
Dr. McCulloh and her husband, Rusty, share their home with two dogs and two cats. In her free time, Dr. McCulloh’s hobbies include reading, music, and biking. She especially enjoys training her two dogs in obedience and agility and taking them on therapy visits to local hospitals.

Dr HoggDr. Kristina Hogg is originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts and received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1999. She then received a Master’s from Stony Brook University in Primate Conservation and Behavior in 2002. She then went to Cornell University for her veterinary education and graduated in 2006. She did a small animal internship in Northern Virginia and moved to Missouri in 2007 to accompany her boyfriend.
Dr. Hogg and her boyfriend share their home with their 4 dogs, 2 cats and reptiles. Dr. Hogg enjoys reading, photography, disc golf, hiking, camping and traveling around the world.

Dr TessmanDr. Cynthia Tessman is a 1998 graduate of the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She works part time at Horton Animal Hospital and was previously a clinic coordinator at the AEC in St. Louis.
Dr. Tessman enjoys spending time with her nine-year-old son, Hunter. Her hobbies include hiking, reading, and horseback riding.
