Horton Animal Hospital Northeast is a full service veterinary hospital. We provide
care for dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, and other small pets. Our veterinarians
offer quality preventative, diagnostic, surgical and dental care for your pet.
Services provided include complete physical exams, vaccinations and dewormings,
surgical procedures, dentistry, digital radiography, Home Again microchip
identification, hospitalization, boarding facilities, bathing and nail trims,
housecalls, and pickup and delivery of pets.

Monday - Thursday 7:30 am to 7:00 pm
Friday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm
Saturday 7:30 am to noon
About Our Doctors
Dr. Michelle Marshall originally came to Columbia in 1988 after receiving a Bachelor’s degree from Northeast Missouri State University at Kirksville. After graduating from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, she practiced for two years in St. Louis, returning to Columbia in 1994 to join the Horton Animal Hospital-Northeast staff. Dr. Marshall and her husband, Ronald, have two children, Rachel and Eli, and two cats and two dogs.
Dr. Marshall has special interests in working with pocket pets and surgery. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Missouri VMA, and Women's Network. Dr. Marshall is also a contributing author for the "Happy Tails Tips" column in the Columbia Daily Tribune.
Dr. Autumn Davis was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, she moved to Missouri to attend the University of Missouri’s College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2008.
Dr. Davis lives with a Siberian husky and her three cats. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and taking dance classes.
Dr. Michael Meyers was raised in Edwardsville, Illinois. He received his Bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Missouri is 2003 and then graduated from The University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Since graduating, Dr. Meyers moved back to Columbia, MO where he has been practicing for the last several years. Dr. Meyers has special interests in soft tissue surgery and canine oncology. He also enjoys playing basketball, distance running, movies, and spending time with his three-legged American bulldog.
Dr. Cynthia Tessman is a 1998 graduate of the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She works part time at Horton Animal Hospital and was previously a clinic coordinator at the AEC in St. Louis. Dr. Tessman enjoys spending time with her ten-year-old son, Hunter. Her hobbies include hiking, reading, and horseback riding.
